Alice Cordelia Hall Munsey, 98, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. She was born May 3, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Austin Moore Hall and Dossie Cordelia Tindall Hall. Alice graduated from Halls High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Tennessee. She worked as an Administrative Secretary for many years. Alice married the late Sam J.K. Munsey, Jr. in 1950 and was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church. Alice enjoyed hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, visiting Dollywood, and reading.
She is survived by her three beloved children, Sheila Munsey Andreasen, Gary M. Munsey, and Susan Munsey Schlaf (Tom); four grandchildren, Brandon Munsey (Stephanie), Meagan Schlaf, Emily Schlaf, and Matthew Schlaf; two great-grandchildren, Addyson Munsey and Emmalyn Munsey.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 am -12:00 pm Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home and then proceed to Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918 for a graveside service officiated by Rev. Edward Maanum. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to First Lutheran Church, 1207 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917.
