BRENNEMAN, Miriam (nee Gaeler) Passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of David for over 50 years, mother of Jane (Jane) of Kitchener and Lisa of Toronto, and precious grandmother to Eliza and Emily. Miriam leaves behind three sisters, Reta Brandon, Alice (Don) Elvy and Delores Petznick, in-laws, Marcella McNab, Katie Grieg and Herbert (Beverly) Brenneman. Miriam will be remembered by all her nieces. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Gaeler, sister Betty Hertzberger (Randy) and brother-in-laws Harry Brandon and Vern Petznick. She was a devoted volunteer with the Grand River Hospital Auxiliary and was recently honoured for 45 years of service. Miriam was a recipient of the Zonta Woman of Achievement Award in 1996 as well as a member of the Women's Probus Club of Kitchener and K-W Garden Club. She was a proud employee of The Waterloo Music Company for many years. Miriam was a life-long member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waterloo and active in the ladies group. "Do not mourn for me for I have not left you. Look in the eyes of my children and grandchildren and you will find me there." Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Robert Krestick officiating, interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery and donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Grand River Hospital Foundation as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home, on line condolences may be made at [email protected]
