LANG, M. Monica On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Lisaard House, with her family by her side. The former Mary Monica Sloan, aged 91 years. Monica was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the C.W.L. of the Church, a long time volunteer at the Breithaupt Centre in Kitchener and the K-W Friendship Group for Seniors. Loving mother to Robert and his wife Jane of Waterloo, Stephen of Kitchener and David and his wife Jackie of Toronto, sister to Ben Sloan (Elva), Desmond (Terry), Shirley Paul (Stuart), Dorothy and her husband Ed Jelley and Marie Sloan all of Ottawa and Clarney (Doris) of Princeton, beloved grandma to Joanna and James, Matthew, Andrew and Alison. Predeceased by her parents James Sloan and Laura Dunnigan, her husband Bill in 1994, one brother Percy Sloan and one granddaughter Julia. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where parish prayers will be recited at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with Monsignor Edward Sheridan officiating. Donations may be made to Lisaard House as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home.
