John Walter Sutton of Kitchener, formerly of Toronto and Peachland, B.C. died on April 21st at Trinity Village, Cambridge site. John was born on March 18th in Toronto, Ontario to John and Dagmar Sutton of New York. A Veteran of WWII, John lived a life dedicated to learning and experiencing new things. Working much of his life for Kitchener Buttons, John had many interests, including photography, travel, camping and in retirement years, golf. He loved the Muskokas - spending some wonderful summers at Kashee Lake and Georgian Bay. John, who very much believed in “giving back” was very active in Meals on Wheels and was the Commissioner of Scouting in Toronto for several years. John will be remembered by many for his charm, his kindness, his irreverent sense of humour and his strong moral compass. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret, his Son Ron and daughter-in-law Camille, his daughter Lynda and son-in-law Doug Holmes, his Step daughter Soo Zembala and step-son Alan Zembala; his daughter-in-law Lena and his Grandchildren Daniella and Anthony Sutton, Tyler and Eric Limebeer, and Eden, Ella, and Nyla Eveleigh; his sister Loretta Reynolds and brother-in-law Frank, his nieces Sharon, Susan, Nancy, Debbie and Cindy and nephew Don; Predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy, his sisters Doris and Norma and his brother Gordon. John truly did Live, Laugh and Love. A celebration of his life will be conducted at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton at Church Street, Kitchener, Ontario on Thursday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. Visitors will be welcomed after 1:00 p.m.
