Victoria Fahlman, late of Esterhazy and formerly of Glenavon and Windthorst, peacefully passed away in the Esterhazy Centennial Special Care Home on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the age of 94 years. Vicky had enjoyed good visits and card games with her family in the weeks prior. She was a beloved resident of the care home and her wit and zest for life will be deeply missed.
Victoria was predeceased by her parents Nick and Nellie Marchuk; her first husband Vernon Morrison; her second husband John Fahlman; daughter Carolyn “Toody” Boland and her grandson Sean Morrison. She was also predeceased by 8 of her siblings.
Vicky is lovingly remembered by her children: Cameron (Shirley) Morrison, Linda Cowan, Shannon (Bob) Ridley and Kelly Morrison. John’s children also remember her with love: Valerie (Garth) Hettrick, Judy (Calvin) Clark, Randy Fahlman, Robert (Terri) Fahlman, Marilyn (Terry) Shackleton, Patricia (Bob) Pilon, Eileen (Mike) Hatfield and Sheila (Rick) Roy. Victoria was blessed with 37 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren. Victoria is survived by her siblings: Emilie Fournier, Elmer (Thelma) Marchuk, Melvin Marchuk, Beverly Marchuk and sister-in-law Doreen Marchuk.
Vicky was born into a large family and from early on she loved to cook and care for people. She was a natural host and loved to have a houseful of family and friends. Victoria was well known for her wonderful cooking and baking. She was an avid gardener and the yard on the corner in Windthorst was always a beautiful spot to enjoy. She enjoyed playing cards and watching curling on TV.
The graveside service will be held in the Glenavon Cemetery on Saturday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Lynette Callfas officiating.
