Ronald Joseph Dube

The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ann R.C. Church, Kennedy, SK on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. by the Rev. Felipe Faustino. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Ann R.C. Church with a reception to follow in the Kennedy Legion Hall. A family interment in St. Ann Parish Cemetery.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Carmel and Anna Dube, one sister, Mary Blanche Dube, one brother-in-law, Eldon McAfee and father-in-law Nelson Boyd.

He is survived by his wife Laurie, their children Megan (Brad) Hibbard and their family Damien and Isaac; Marc (Crystal) Dube and their family John and Natalie, Trevor Dube and Gabrielle Dube; his brothers and sisters: Louise (Ken) Palik, Armand (Fe) Dube, Rose Dube (Ken), Lorette McAfee, Leon (Cheryl) Dube, his mother-in-law Gladys Boyd; his sisters-in-law Ella (Chris) Leader, Lynda (Tony) Daly; his brother-in-law Michael (Sandi) Boyd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was born October 6, 1953 to Carmel and Anna Dubé. He grew up on the family farm near Kennedy with his 2 brothers and 3 sisters. As his father semi-retired, Ron and his brother Leon took over the family farm.

In November 1984, Ron married Laurie Boyd, living on the farm they raised 4 children. Ron loved farming, loved the land, and most of the time loved the cattle.

In 1991 he started working part-time for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance. He enjoyed his job, getting paid to talk farming.

Ron enjoyed playing hockey and watching all the activities and sports his children were involved in. He taught his sons to hunt and all his children to appreciate nature.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
