Jim was one of four children born to Steve and Mary Kish. Jim had two brothers, one who passed in infancy and Steve; and one sister Pauline.
Jim moved to St. Catherines, Ontario to enter the workforce as a butcher and then from there moved to Whitewood Saskatchewan and owned and operated the pool hall there for 15 years. He then moved to Kipling and then his farm. He farmed for 20 years and owned and operated his own business, which consisted of pinball machines, pool tables, arcade games and shuffleboards. Jim was also a butcher and worked for several co-ops in the area cutting meat.
Jim is survived by his spouse Marilyn Szabo and her two children Kathy (Bill) and Danny (Tracy); and two sons, Kelly (Gloria) and Steve and daughter-in-law Lisa. He was predeceased by his son Kevin.
Jim loved his family very much. He loved to hunt and fish at round lake on the weekends. Jim had five children, nine grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. All who knew Jim will dearly miss him and his contagious grin. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Kipling Cemetery with Marlene Tarr officiating.
