He was born on July 22, 1926 a mile and a half southwest of Govan, SK to John and Molly (Martin) Hilderman. Ben enjoyed many milestones in his life. He proudly married Margaret Tuffnell on July 26, 1958. They brought five children into the world and created a wonderful family. He worked on the farm before moving to Regina where he was employed by the Regina Board of Education working as a custodian at Imperial, McDermid and Robert Usher Collegiate before retiring on January 31, 1990 after 29 ½ years of service.
Ben is survived by his children: Debbie (Richard) Peto of Kipling, Dennis Hilderman of Vancouver, Denise (Rob) Bilinski of Regina and Tammy (Todd) Lamb of Arcola; grandchildren: Kristie (Jeff), Tara (Kevin), Jason (Alisha), Christopher, Richelle (Paul), Donna (Curt), Clayton (Della), Destiny (Steve), Nathan and Molly; sixteen great grandchildren; sister Martha Reil and brother Willie Hilderman.
He was predeceased by his mother Molly; father John; sister Emily and a sister who was stillborn on September 18, 1933; brothers: Rienhold, Harry and Elmer; wife Margaret and daughter Vickie.
The funeral service will be held in the Christ Lutheran Church, 417 3rd St South, Kipling, SK on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.Guy Scholz officiating. Interment to follow in Kipling Town Cemetery.
