Mac was born to Vester Carroll McMunn, Sr. and Lura Elizabeth Boyd. Mac was the oldest of seven children that included, Lawrence Eugene McMunn, Phyliss Ann Bollinger, LaDonna Fay Bennett, LaDenna Kay Wells, Leslie David McMunn and Judith Lynn Blackwood. Both Larry and LaDenna proceeded Mac in death.
Mac is survived by his wife, Carolyn Joyce Roberts McMunn, and their two daughters, Amber Leeanna McMunn of Kingwood, and Andrea Lashell Tedori and son-in-law Joseph Tedori of Kingwood; two grandchildren, Nicolas Tedori of Boston, Massachusetts and Marisa Tedori of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Diane Roberts of Provo, Utah and Linda Louise Alexander of Big Spring, Texas.
Mac served 22 years in the Air Force, retiring in San Angelo, Texas in 1972. Mac changed his military uniform for a postal uniform and was a letter carrier for 24 years. Mac enjoyed sports -- playing baseball, softball and golf. In the fall Mac and Carolyn could be found at the San Angelo Central Bobcat Football Stadium on Friday nights rooting the Bobcats on to victory. Mac loved spending time with his family and especially traveling with his girls.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5-8 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 US 59, Kingwood, Texas 77339. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 2023, 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 22110 Northpark Drive, Porter, Texas 77339. Mac will be interred at the Houston National Cemetery on Monday, March 27, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Mac’s favorite charities, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project, or a charity of your choice.
