Funeral Services for Stanley James Sarman, 77, of Kingwood, Texas, will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy, Porter, Texas. Interment will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00-8:00pm, with the Rosary recited at 7:00pm, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy 59 N., Kingwood, Texas.
Stanley Sarman was born on September 2, 1945 in Galveston, Texas to parents Edward and Emilie Sarman and passed away on November 7, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas. Stanley proudly served his country as an Officer in the United States Navy Seabees. He graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Stanley married the love of his life, Linda Rose Luparello, on June 2, 1968 and they shared 54 beautiful years of marriage together. He worked for Turner Collie & Braden as a Professional Civil Engineer and later for AECOM as a Consulting Engineer. Stanley served as the President of the American Society of Civil Engineers Texas Section in 1995. He also served as the VP of Administration for the Texas Civil Engineering Foundation and was an active member of several Texas Section committees for many years. He received the Professional Service Award in 1984, the Award of Honor in 1998, the John A. Focht Jr. Citizen Engineer Award in 2009 and the ASCE Lifetime Service Award in 2013. Stanley served on the Building Committee of St. Martha’s Catholic Church since 1978, he served as an usher, served on the Finance Committee, served on ACTS, Teams of Our Lady, Sharing Sunday, and many other ministries of the church. In the community, he has been President of the TOURS in Kingwood working on improvements of the infrastructure of Kingwood.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Linda Rose Sarman of Kingwood; daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Kimberly Rose Benigno and James, of Pass Christian, Mississippi; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Edward Sarman and Grace, of The Woodlands; grandchildren, James Benjamin Benigno III, Thomas Anthony Sarman, and Aimee Grace Sarman; brother, Leonard Ray Sarman of Kingwood; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Emilie Sarman; brothers, Baby Boy Sarman, Patrick Joseph Sarman and Edward Frankie Sarman; sister, Mildred Marie Sarman.
Pallbearers are: Leonard Ray Sarman (brother), Vincent Anthony Luparello (brother-in-law), Anthony Edward Sarman (son), James Benjamin Benigno Jr. (son-in-law), James Benjamin Benigno III (grandson) and Thomas Anthony Sarman (grandson).

In lieu of flowers, the family’s request that donations be made to St. Martha’s Family Life Center Building Fund in memory of Stanley J. Sarman.
