Fred William White, age 61, of Kingwood, Texas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and daughters on Thursday May 30, 2024. He was born June 18, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Wayne and Eileen White.
Fred graduated from Proviso West High School (Hillside, Illinois) in 1981. He went on to graduate from Texas State Technical College (Waco, Texas) in 1982. He was employed at JB Hunt for nearly 20 years and worked in the transportation maintenance business for over 40 years. During his career, he’s had a hand in countless peoples’ successes and served as a mentor and inspiration to hundreds.
He was an active member of Second Baptist Church North Campus in Kingwood where he served faithfully and touched the lives of many friends. He enjoyed motorcycling and road biking with family and friends. He was a man of integrity and will be remembered for his genuine goodness, his great sense of humor, his charisma, his excellent story-telling, his hard work-ethic, his priceless guidance, and his absolute dedication to showing up for his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his wife, Jane White; his daughter, Nicole Griffith and husband Justin; his son, Luke Strange; his step-daughter, Amy Murphy and husband Justin; his step-daughter, Anna Truttier; his sister, Linda Penkava; his sister, Nancy Jakubec and husband Jim; his five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00am at Second Baptist Church - North Campus (22770 US-59, Humble, TX 77339) with a light lunch reception to follow, also at the church campus.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Second Baptist Church or The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (Ride for the Kids) in memory of Fred White.
