Lucille Clara Yates

Lucille was born on Feb 26th, 1931 in Russel Co., Virginia. She was born on Sandy Ridge to Daniel and Gracy Rasnake. She eventually left Sandy Ridge with her family and went on to become a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life’s greatest joy was taking care of all who needed her.

Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband: Eugene “Red” Yates, Parents: Dan and Gracy, Sisters: Lena and Joan, and Brothers: Ralph, Selden, Cecil, and Billy.

Her survivors include her brothers Benton (w: Cathleen), her children: Benny (w: Patty), Connie (h: Gary), Shirley (h: David), Anita, Anna, Gracy (h: Stevie). (10) Grandchildren: Michael, Tina (h: Bryan), Lena (h: Sean), Matt (w: Laura), Glenn, Cody, Dusty (w: Alyssa), Jessica, Joey (w: Courtney), Dawson (w: Asia). (14) Great Grandchildren: Hannah (h: Dayne), Myka, Walker, Wyatt, Dustin, Mikayla, Jacob, Isaac, Gracelyn, Paige, John, Layden, Kaleigha, and Kehlani (1) Great-Great Grandchild: Gabby as well as many other special friends and family members.

The Pallbearers will include Michael, Gary, Stevie, Joey, Dusty, and Dawson.

A visitation for Lucille will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM. A burial will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
