Leigh Ann Harless, age 46, won her battle with cancer and was welcomed home on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She was born on December 29, 1969 to Arnold Gerald Sexton and the late Minerva Ann Gothard in Kingsport, TN.
Leigh Ann is preceded in death by her mother, Minerva Ann Gothard; maternal grandparents, Harry and Ruby Gothard; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Bessie Sexton.
Leigh Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She cherished her family and loved the Lord. She was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and previously worked as an Administrative Assistant at Eastman Chemical before becoming ill.
Those left to cherish her memory; her loving husband, Claude W. Harless Jr.; son, Matthew Harless; daughters, Tori Harless, Lexi Harless and Chloe Harless; father, Arnold Sexton and wife Rosemary; sisters, Lori Stevenson and Lisa Richardson and husband Jeff; nephew, Joshua Stevenson and wife Aleisha; nieces, Kayla Stevenson, Corri Carpenter and husband Ben, Casey Richardson; great niece, Maleia Stevenson; many special aunts and uncles and a host of loving friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Smith officiating. A private committal will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park.
