Jackie Eloise Price Mellons Vermillion

Mrs. Jackie Eloise Price Mellons Vermillion, age 87 of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 20, 2013. Mrs. Vermillion was born on March 10, 1926 in Rogersville, Tn, the daughter of the late Silas Marion and Livia Russell Price. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a charter member of the Orebank Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Ralph Mellons in 1994 and by second husband, Mr. Charles Eugene Vermillion in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Pierce, Clarence, and June Price and sisters; Mary Lou Wilder and Delois Day. Also preceding Mrs. Vermillion in death are two sons; Steve Wallace Mellons and John Reed Mellons.

Survivors include her daughters; Mrs. Ginger Tipton and Mrs. Peggy (R.B.) Lane all of Kingsport. Two sisters; Leola Bullock and Marie Lawson. Five grandchildren; Brian and Brett Tipton, Corey and Cody Lane and Holly Smith. One very precious great-grandson; Phoenix Austin Ryan Tipton. Visitation for Mrs Vermillion will be Wednesday May 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. David Foster and Rev. Tommy Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday at 1 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those desiring to attend burial services should assemble at the graveside at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will include Brian and Brett Tipton, Corey, Cody and R.B. Lane and Dustin Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Smith, Butch Cremmins, and Scott Vermillion.
