Gail M. Cavin, age 71, passed away peacefully April 26, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Gail was a native of Neon, Kentucky and was a longtime resident of Kingsport. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Della Barnes; son, Randall Cavin; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband of 53 years Ray Cavin; her children, Ellen Cavin Cox and husband Paul, David Cavin, Tami Cavin Southerland and husband Lyndell; grandsons, Holden Cavin, Cal Southerland, Jon Cox; granddaughter, Ceaira Byington and husband Jeremiah; great- granddaughter, Skyy Byington; four sisters, Connie Cavin, Ina Drexel, Nina Collier, Sharon Foltz; numerous nieces and nephews; two very special friends, Frankie York and Jimmy Carter. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday April 30, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with services to follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Dolan officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Cavin, Reggie Cavin, Rick Bear, Terry Hutson, Scott Hutson and Trae Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Holden Cavin, Cal Southerland, Jon Cox, Jeremiah Byington, Mike Cavin, Shannon Cavin, Danny Collier, Keith Brannon and Robbie Tate.
