Fred graduated from Rocky Face High School, Tennessee Wesleyan College, and the University of Tennessee with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company with 44 years of dedicated service. He worked in Cellulose Esters, Primestar, and Engineering Divisions. After retiring, he worked as a LSE where enjoyed the comradery of co-workers and friends.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a grandson, Taylor Hutsell.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice Hutsell; sons, John Hutsell & wife Angela of Blountville, TN and Jeff Hutsell of Kingsport, TN ; daughter, Jeanna Hutsell, of Corpus Christi, TX; brother, Ted Hutsell & wife Dianna; sister, Nan Alford & husband Bill; three grandchildren, Halee Robinson, Victoria Hutsell, and Maelee Hutsell; two great-granddaughters, Madi Robinson and Kennedy Robinson; special aunt, Jane Trew; several special nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday (November 23, 2019) at Cassidy United Methodist Church (5801 Memorial Blvd. Kingsport, TN 37664) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Cassidy United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Hancock officiating.
