He was preceded in death by his parents, Lassie Charlotte and William Davis Pullon.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Pullon Reed of Kingsport; 3 grandchildren, Kaylan and Brittany Carter, both of Kingsport and PFC Jacob Reed, USMC of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; 2 great-grandsons, Adrian Noah Brown and Isaac Aaron Reed; his beloved cousins Phil and Anita Brewer of Washington County, VA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Charlie worked for the Bristol Herald Courier and retired after 38 years of dedicated service. In his retirement years, he loved spending his day outdoors enjoying beautiful weather and nature itself.
Many of those days, he spent riding his motorcycle out towards South Holston and also visiting friends and relatives. For all who knew him, knew of his love for nature. Specifically the mountains and all of God’s little creatures. He truly appreciated and loved life.
The family would like to thank the staff, coordinators and counselors at NHC, Bristol for their dedication, love and kind treatment during his stay. “His girls’ as he referred to the nursing staff, 3rd floor, treated him as one of their own.
We would also like to extend our thanks to CARIS Hospice care for their kindness and dignity in his last weeks.
Charlie’s daughter and grandchildren would personally like to thank Phil and Anita Brewer for their commitment, dedication and love in caring for Charlie during his illness.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:00pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Christus with Preacher Johnny Gibson officiating.
