Carl M. Lichlyter, age 66, entered into rest January 16, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Blount County, TN, a son to the late Albert and Gladys McFee Lichlyter, he was a longtime resident of this area. Carl was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Helen Lichlyter, his second wife of 33 years, Annette Lichlyter; brother, Charles Lichlyter; sister, Laura Ann Lichlyter. He retired after 35 years of service with Eastman. Carl was a member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church where had served as a Deacon for 23 years. He lived to hunt and fish in his spare time. Survivors include his two sons, Douglas Hilton and Aaron Lichlyter both of Blountville; two daughters, Missy Mize and husband, Troy of Blountville, Stacey Hood and fiancé, Travis Vandergriff of Aloca, TN; three grandchildren, Joshua Whitaker, Haley Whitaker and Jacob Mize. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services following with Revs. Darrell Williams and Brian Holloway officiating. Burial will follow the chapel service in East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as active pallbearers will be Aaron Lichlyter, Joshua Whitaker, Earl Millard, Lane Brown, Cody Malone and David Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Malone, Tom Greene, Frank "Bush Hog" Harlan, Dick Rice, Mike Gardner, Buddy Hilton, Lonnie Sampson, Charles Sammons, Bryan Miller, Don Davidson, Gary Sanders, Jim Davis, Ralph Johnston, Johnny Ford, Johnny Price, Sonny Johnston, Dale Morton and Dwight Moore.
