The faithful wife of Carroll Gene Bevins for 65 years, Barbara led a life of devotion, love and selfless kindness toward her family and friends.
Barbara was active in her community and church, St. Michaels Episcopal Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Teresa Taylor (Mark); son, Robbie Bevins; three grandchildren, Lyndsay McCray (Ben), Andy Taylor (Malia) and Daniel Taylor (Stephanie); and a host of great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jane Young, and daughter, Jennifer Bevins.
Receiving of friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Greenvale Baptist Church, 1070 Gray Station Road, Gray, Tenn., followed by a celebration of life with Pastor Travis Shaffer officiating.
