Ann “Fred” Gordon, 77, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the late evening hours of Friday (June 26, 2020). Ann was born on April 23, 1943 in Rogersville, TN to the late William Forrest & Margaret Lucille (Russell) Glymp.
Ann was an Angel put on earth without wings. She enjoyed traveling in her RV, cooking, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her family and friends. Ann was known for her smile that could light up a room, her kind heart, positive attitude and outlook on life. She never complained and her family strives to be like her each and every day. Her entire life revolved around her loving her family. Ann was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Ralph Glymp.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Samuel “Flash”Gordon; four daughters, Debbie Richards & husband Carl, Tina Gordon & fiancé Scott Maye, Kim Stewart & husband Jeff, and Tammy McAninch; two brothers, Joe and Ronnie Glymp; sister, Wanda Griffith; nine grandchildren, Cody Powers, Calista Powers, Cole Richards, Jessie Gordon, Carleigh Gordon, Alex Maye, Chase Stewart, Tammy Simpson, and Bobby Bledsoe; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday (June 30, 2020) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Gordon officiating.
Ann will be laid to rest on Wednesday (July 1, 2020) at 10 a.m. in the Garden of Everlasting Life I at East Lawn Memorial Park. Her grandsons, family, and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers that family request that memorial contributions be made towards Ann’s favorite holiday, Christmas. There will be a donation box provided during the visitation for those wishing to give towards her “Christmas Fund” for her family.
