Ada Mae (Huff) Tallman, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her home. Ada was born September 3, 1926, in North Kanova, OH, daughter of the late Alcieberry Huff and Lucy Clara Williams Huff. Ada was the wife of the late Charles William Tallman.
She was a fourth grade teacher at Miller Perry Elementary School for 29 years. Ada was a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church for over 50 years and currently a member of Logans Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ada is preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Ellison and Kate Greer, and brothers, Carl, Jim Bob and Ray Huff.
Her survivors include three daughters, Teri Marsh and husband James, Karen Tallman and husband Michael Trepiccione, and Doris Benton; one son, Kent Tallman; seven grandchildren, Heather Barnes and husband Steve, Christy Campbell and husband Ben, Jeston Benton and wife Amy, Britni Mains and husband JJ, Shannon Booher, Angelia Pingo and husband Michael, and Sara Johnson; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Brown of Knoxville, TN, Phyllis Greear of Florida, and Brenda Brown of South Carolina; one brother, Paul Huff and wife Betty of Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Barbara Alley and husband Jerry of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 12:30 to 2:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Scott Cunningham officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
