Virgil "Mike" Frank

Funeral services for Virgil Michael “Mike” Frank, 72 of Killeen will be on Friday at 11 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with Father Chris Downey officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mike was born on November 28, 1938 in St. Nicholas, MN to John and Cecilia Frank and passed away on September 17, 2011 in Killeen.

Mike retired from the US Army after 20 years at the rank of SFC. He earned the following ribbons and medals: Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal w/silver, 1 loop; National Defense Service medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon numeral 5; NCO Professional Development Ribbon Numeral 3. He was a lifelong member of the VFW, American Legion and the 40/8.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Survivors include Marie Anna Frank, his wife of 46 years, son Michael Frank and wife Arleen; daughter Susanne Magonigal and husband Bob; brothers Al Frank and wife Dorothy, Richard Frank and wife Edith, Ronnie Frank and wife Eve and Jerry Frank and wife Beccy; a sister Diane Frank.

There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Thursday with a rosary recited at 7 PM.
