Trudy joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Rogers High School in 1974. There, she became a LVN, later earning her RN, where she served all her patients with love, dignity and compassion. She PROUDLY served our country for 20 years, spending most of her tenure at Ft. Hood, Texas and residing in Killeen, Texas until recently, when she moved closer to her sons and grandchildren.
Trudy was preceded in death by beloved husband Ed Schieber, and born in Toledo, Ohio on September 14, 1956 to beloved parents Edwin (Snick) and Carlene (Fitsko) McComb who also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Jeremy (Brittany) Kosmach and Jeffrey Schieber and step-daughter Amanda. Brother, Andrew (Lyndi) McComb, sister Paula (Jiggs) Gillespie, previous husband, Paul (AtheNa) Kosmach and BFF, Susan Goodman.
Trudy SO loved her grandchildren, her prides and joys, Kinley, Skylar, Riley, Ryan, Maxwell, and Eva.
So many nieces and nephews will miss her bright smile and awesome hugs. Christy Cooper, Shelby Skiver, Kristin Yarborough, Trevor McComb, and Kynli McComb.
Great nieces and nephews were recipients of that special love that only she could give. Jerry Palermo, Veronica Skiver, Nathan Skiver, Emmy, Ollie, Baylor and Levi Yarborough and Dean McComb.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 15 in the Chapel of Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be follow at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery.
There are SO many unnamed family and friends whose lives she touched. Her love was unyielding and she will remain with us all until we meet again
