Nancy Ellen Stephens, 78, passed away on 1-2-2017, after a brief illness. Nancy was born on May 27, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents, William Chism and Nadine Leonard of Lawton, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 Am on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home chapel, Killeen, TX. Burial will be held at Pleasant Hill, Nolanville, Texas. Nancy was a great beauty with unforgettable blue eyes inherited from her mother. As a child, Nancy grew up during WWII, and this experience taught her to never let anything go to waste. As a young woman, she loved to dance and to teach dance. Nancy brought three children into the world, Steven and Crystal and Robert and lived her life as a home-maker in support of her children and husbands. Nancy survived beloved husband, Killeen Police Captain Robert Stephens, who passed away in December 2003, and beloved husband, Army Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Teague, who passed away in 1981. Nancy lived a military life during her marriage to Wayne, and then lived a police life during her marriage to Robert in Nolanville,TX, before moving to Galveston,Texas to be closer to family support.
Nancy is survived by loving daughter, Crystal Teague and husband, John Lopez, and grand-daughter, Christina Lopez, and grand-son Bill Lopez and his wife Erika and great-granddaughter, Sophia Lopez. Nancy is survived by beloved son, Robert Teague and his wife, Amanda and granddaughter Amber Walker and grandsons Casey and Joseph; and great grand-children Ella, Johnny, Caroline, Brayden, and Oakley.Nancy is survived by son, Steven Teague(Antoniou) of California.Nancy will be forever fondly remembered by all who knew her and that cared for her. Deep appreciation is expressed to The Cottages of League City(Tx) staff and to Encompass Home Health(Houston, Tx) representatives for their kind care to Nancy.
