our myself can offer you that will make your pain go away!! All we can offer you are these words of solace. When your Louis arrived at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, he was greeted by an Amazing Angel, our son Nicholas. He greeted Louis with the Tightest Embrace and the Biggest Smile!

To the Gardner family - I was honored to know Chief Gardner in Germany with the 293d Engineer Bn in the early 80s.  Always a gentleman and his word was his bond.  The engineer unit would never have completed its project without Chief Gardner's leadership and focus on his men's welfare.  Always with a big smile and a kind word, , he will be missed.  Rest in Peace Chief and prayers and comfort to your family.

I’m sorry to hear about his passing. Chief Gardner was a wonderful kind man. I worked with him  as his secretary when he was in charge of the MAIT on Fort Cavazos (Hood). My condolences to the family.

As we gather to honor your memory with Aunt Piccola, Cousins Debra Angela and family, it's hard to believe you're no longer with us, your vibrant spirit always seemed unshakable. You were the epitome of warmth and joy; your smile was a constant, a beacon of positivity that we never saw falter. 

You had a gift for storytelling that could captivate anyone, seeing you and your brothers share stories from back in the day always brought us joy. Whether you were recounting tales of Kooshma, sharing adventures from your days as a state trooper (Mike Tyson), or recounting your military experiences, your stories painted vivid pictures and left lasting impressions. Those narratives weren't just tales; they were lessons wrapped in your unique flair, teaching us about courage, duty, and the importance of humor in life.

You stood as a towering figure in our family, not just in stature but in character. Your life was a masterclass in integrity, love, and commitment. You showed us all — your brothers, grandchildren and your nephews — what it means to be a true gentleman, a devoted husband, and a pillar of strength for your family. Your example of a successful marriage and family life was not just inspirational; it was a blueprint for us all to aspire to.

Uncle Mac, your legacy is not just in the stories you told or the roles you played, but in the lives you touched and the love you shared. You taught us that a man's worth is measured not by his achievements alone, but by how he loves, how he laughs, and how he lives for others. 

You are deeply missed, but your lessons, your laughter, and your love will forever echo in our hearts. You were more than an uncle; you were a mentor, a hero, and a friend to many. Thank you for everything. You are truly loved, now and always.

Angie, Deborah and Mrs. Gardner, just want to say that we send our thoughts and prayers and love to you all.  I remember your dad when we were growing up and your parents were always so nice and welcoming to me. I’ll never forget our silly  sense of humor me and Angie had. I remember one day when we were in the front yard and your dad somehow went over some bushes accidentally and we laughed kinda hard and you called him Superman, the things we choose to remember. I know one thing you and Deborah were the apple of his eyes and he was proud of his family, that always showed.  Love you all, Elizabeth

My deepest sympathy to mrs.Gardner and family Deborah/aAngela. My first contact with Lou was at DPS we carpooled  back and fourth to Austin for about two months then I got on a different  shift,  but our friendship  didn't stop there I would always see him out in the yard doing something  I would stop and say hello  and ask how he was doing he would  always  have a smile and positive words for me I will miss seeing him put in the yard he was a very good family  man husband father grandfather  he will be missed by all.

It is with a deeply sorrowful heart that I write this message but it also includes moments of loving and joyous memories of our friend and  neighbor Louis Gardner.  Louis was a loving husband, father,  grandfather  and for Kathy and me a one of a kind neighbor.  Louis was always ready to lend a hand and offer help. I  cannot recall a time in the 41 years living next to Louis and Picola the I ever witnessed Louis without a smile on his face even well enduring  the pains of his life. We have been blessed to have such wonderful neighbors and friends for the past 41 years.  Louis presence will be missed but his memories will remain in our home. Our deepest sympathy,  condolences and prayers are with the Gardner family as we morn the loss of this amazing man. May the spirit of the Lord be with you all!
