Linda Marie Bernadette Gregorvic Marley passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. Linda was born into a growing family on June 27, 1949. She was the second child to Michael and Margaret Gregorvic, of Farmingdale, New York. Linda is survived by her older sister Nancy Patka and younger siblings, Patricia McKeever, Kathleen Claussen, Peggy Gregorovic, Eileen Gregorovic, Michael Gregorovic, Terre Simpson, Mary Graziano, Matthew Gregorovic, and Karen Rotondo.
Linda pursued her education by earning a Bachelor's Degree. She worked as grade school teacher and often talked about how much she loved her students and how it fulfilled her. She also studied horticulture which sparked her longstanding love and care for plants and flowers. She enjoyed growing Orchids, African Violets, Cacti and Succulents.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Philip Marley. Together they moved from New York to Texas and established their residence in Killeen. Here they raised two beautiful daughters. Linda is survived by her two daughters, LaNeece Marley (spouse Tammy Marley) and Laura McWha (spouse John McWha) and her five grandchildren, Liam Marley, Lorelei Marley, Tatum Marley, Liam McWha, and Brody McWha. Linda was very committed to her family and was overjoyed to be called Grandma. She would spend countless hours loving and entertaining all five.
Linda dedicated her life’s journey to the Lord and telling others about Him and His love. She was an active member in the Killeen Seventh Day Adventist Church and an active member of the First Baptist Church BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). She loved participating in all aspects of the church, from children's ministry to weekly services and Bible studies, and even annual Christmas caroling through the streets of Killeen.
Linda enjoyed traveling, particularly in the southwest United States. One of her favorite travels was to Alaska. She also loved the beach and spending annual vacations with her children and grandchildren, all the while recognizing God's touch exhibited through nature.
Celebration of Life will be at the First Baptist Church, 3310 South W. S. Young Drive, Killeen, Texas, conducted by Pastors Vitali Prolinski and Dan Bray, on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 1:00pm.
