Eulena was born March 19, 1920 in Antioch, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jr. and Eula Burnett.
She was raised and educated in Antioch, Texas, had lived in the Dallas area for the last 45 years and was a member of Dixon Circle Baptist Church in Dallas. She was a member of the Usher Board and Women’s Church Organization. She was retired after working at Neiman Marcus in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Eula Burnett; husband, Raymond D. Clay; sons, Henry Ray Clay and Dorran Benard Clay; sisters, Essie Dell Howard, Yvonne Thomas, Margaret Neroes, Josie Hatcher and Maurien Durkee; brothers, Thelma Burnett and Bryson Burnett.
She is survived by son, John D. Clay and wife Patricia; sisters, Willie B. Dennis and Eloise Lewis, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at Southern Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Services for Mrs. Eulena B. Clay will be 11:00am Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Antioch Baptist Church in Antioch, Texas with the Rev. Lewis Thompson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Memorial Gardens in Antioch, Texas.
