David is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy, daughters Mary Parish and Sara Turner and son-in-law Mark Turner, grandchildren Ryan, Jacob, Allison, Tanner, Jayme, Ethan, and Madelyn and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, and son Jonathan Webb.
David was born in Lake County, Tennessee on May 7, 1937. He married the love of his life on May 7, 1959. He was called into the ministry in 1963 and faithfully served his Lord and Savior in pastoral roles for 63 years. His heart belonged to Community Baptist Church where he pastored for over 30 years.
David was completely devoted to his family. He adored his wife and children. But, when his grandkids came along, he took on the proudest role of his life as Granddad! The adventures he shared with them, the lessons he taught them, and the love and laughter are immeasurable. He had a humor like no other.
David was an accomplished musician. If an instrument had strings, he could play it. His favorite was the mandolin. He loved southern gospel and bluegrass music.
Some of David's favorite moments communing with the Lord was when he was working in his yard planting trees, flowers and keeping everything beautiful. He truly had a green thumb.
David is now rejoicing in Heaven. His heart's desire is to one day see all of his family and friends there too.
Visitation will be at 10 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
