Martha Martinez

Martha Martinez age 68 entered god's kingdom on June 15 of this year. She passed at home with her daughters by her side. Martha raised her 3 daughters as a single parent. She graduated from the Correctional Officers Training. She was employed at Avenal State prison for 20+ years. She made many personal sacrifices and quietly contributed to many causes. She was a strong prayer warrior especially during the last years of her life. Martha was a very selfless person who always helped out anyone who was in need. She loved to spend time with her birds and at church. She was a great role model and influence in her grandchildren's lives. "She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her."

Martha is survived by her 2 daughters, Janelle Cortez and Erica Martinez. Her 3 sisters Dora Garcia, Evie Gomez and Donna Rivas, 2 brothers Danny Perez and Michael Perez. Also, leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Martha is preceded in death by her daughter Andrea Martinez and mother Mary Perez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary for Martha will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10:00 am and followed by a Mass Service at 10:30 am at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W. Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630. Interment to following at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
