With her family by her side, Fe Abrazaldo passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 87 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Hermie and son Anthony.
Fe was born in the Philippines in 1937. Third of 7 siblings, she graduated with a Midwife degree from Manugit Maternity Hospital, Philippines. Fe landed in Winnipeg then moved to Kenora in 1967 to work at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital as a registered nursing assistant until she retired in 1995. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Fe and Hermie welcomed new Filipinos to the community and even temporarily housed them to help start their lives in Kenora.
A Celebration of Fe’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00am at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Rudy Manaloto officiating, with burial to follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
In honour of Fe, donations to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
