Eva was predeceased by her parents Camelia and Louis Bichon, sisters Maureen Shaw, Exilda Batiuk, and Camilla (Babe) Bichon.
Eva was born on Aug.29,1937 to Camelia and Louis Bichon in Winnipeg Manitoba and grew up in Norman, Ontario.
In 1955 she met Dale, and they wed at the Ukrainian Hall in Norman, Ontario on September 8, 1956. Eva always said that what she always wanted was to be a wife and a mother. She certainly achieved that with five children and nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Eva loved being in nature, walking and watching the changes brought with each season. She was a passionate crafter and made dolls, painted, quilted and dabbled in poetry. The family spent time together camping on the Winnipeg River. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at her Camp on Wenasaga Lake. She spent many happy hours with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews at camp and loved her time there very much. Eva has always loved animals, especially her cats and dogs, and is sure to be missed by faithful companion “Molly”.
She was a member of T.O.P. S. and enjoyed the fellowship with the friends she made through their many trips and celebrations. Mom always helped out on Scout outings and chaperoned on many school trips for us kids.
Eva came from a family of nine children, five brothers and three sisters. Eva loved her siblings and supported them through the many joys and difficulties of their lives. What ever the situation she made it her mission to love and care for others especially her nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Pinecrest Home for the Aged for their compassionate care of our loved one.
