William T. Simon, Sr., 84, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 15th, 2012. Private family service and interment will be held at Cheatam Hill Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the Family on Sunday, November 18th, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Simon to the Halcyon Foundation, 1435 Haw Creek Circle East, Suite 402, Cummings, GA., 30041 or a charity of choice
Bill was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 5th, 1928, to Albert and Bertha Simon. Bill was united in marriage to June M. Zimdars on February 16th, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Bill was of the Catholic faith and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine. He served our country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1946 - 1947. Bill graduated from the Business Institute of Milwaukee in 1950. A proud family man he loved his children and was active with them during their youth in Little League Baseball, Indian Guides, Cub and Boy Scouts. He loved manicuring and working in his yard and remained a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan, as well as a proud owner of the team’s stock. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.
Survivors include his loving wife June M. Simon; Sons -William, Jr. of North St. Paul, MN, Jeffery of Kennesaw, GA. and Charles of Woodstock, GA.; Daughters and son-in law - Christine and David (Bowling) of Clermont, FL., and Sara (DePhillips) of Seminole, FL.; Grandchildren - Adam and Amanda Bowling; Sister and Brother in Law - Phyllis and Edward Von Feldt of North Glen, Co. Bill is also survived by nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
