Mrs. Virginia Lou (Clackum) Sellers, age 86, of White, GA., passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Mrs. Sellers was born on June 10, 1930 in Marietta, GA, a daughter to the late Joe E. Clackum and Corrie Henry Clackum.
Mrs. Sellers was a Nursing Assistant for over twenty years in several departments of Kennestone Hospital including the Mental Health Department. She also led the music for several years at Holy Springs United Methodist Church. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling and doing yardwork; especially working with her flower garden. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Sellers is preceded in death by her late husband of 52 years, Robert Sellers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Sellers Anglin, husband James, of Adairsville, GA. and Brenda Sellers McBroom, husband Davis, of White, GA.; four grandchildren, Ian McBroom, Russell Ingram, Jenny Ingram, and Carly Kramer; and ten and a half great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Virginia Sellers will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation with the family will be held from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family request donation be made to the America Cancer Society.
