I met Bob a few years ago during one of his survey trips abroad for Marsh.  I can honestly say he's one of the finest people I've ever met and will forever be an example to me on always having the right attitude.  He was constantly raving about his family and I'm very sorry for the loss.  

His spirit will forever live on in those that spent any amount of time with him.  Thanks for the memories, Bob!

As a PRC colleague of Bob's, he had had a true passion for property risk consulting and we shared many great conversations during our working relationship. He will be truely missed.

I met Bob thru dualsport motorcycle riding, I was just getting started. He not only helped me grow into the sport but once I got to know him he taught me a few things about life.

He always waited for me on our rides to make sure I was ok. This simple act spoke volumes about Bob as a man.

My memories of Bob go back to our childhood on 19th Avenue.  What fun we had riding bikes and roller skating at Park Arena. May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Prayers for your family.

Bob was an inspiration to me.  He had a courageous spirit and a passion for life, and we thoroughly enjoyed discussions about adventure riding.  I will miss seeing him at our office - he brightened my day with his funny, clever and animated conversations.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  He will be greatly missed.

Bob  was such a great guy to work with and such a fighter through all the challenges he had to deal witha lot more than most..but he always had such a positive way to put a spin on it I will miss his humor and  the way he liked to challenge almost everything but was always good about listening  ..he will be missed.

I've counted Bob as my friend for over ten years and all through that time it seemed that his body was constantly failing him. Yet, Bob had more zest for living than anyone I've known. He never gave in to despair and seemed always ready to fight against defeat in the face of long odds.  Bob was a realist - playing the hand he was dealt flawlessly and with unfailing courage. He demonstrated to me and to many who knew him that life should properly be lived with a certain urgency. 

My heart goes out to his wife and sons.  May the Lord bless and keep you through this time of sadness.

I have known Bob since 1979 when we started at about the same time.  I have many, many fond memories of going to the Wooden Keg, Virginia Beach, hanging at his apartment and then when he met Lisa after which the three of us would hang together.
Though time took us in different directions, Bob was always diligent in keeping in touch when he was in Boston to visit and would ensure that we could catch up in person.
I always admired the dignity, grace and positive outlook that he had despite everything that was thrown at him.  My most memorable comment was when he said that most look upon reaching 50 as a negative thing.  In Bob fashion, he looked at it as a wonderful thing that he made 50!
He loved Lisa, Zach and Ryan fiercely and was very proud of his family.
I will miss you! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ferer family.

In the six or so years that I have known Bob, I will miss our riding together. He was was a great guy. Our prayers go out to all his loved ones. I will miss him.

I first met Bob, or as he was known in the KLR motorcycle community, DirtRoadPassion, at one of our annual rides.  He was the man that everyone enjoyed being around and sharing in great rides and stories!  He will surely be missed.  My prayers go out to his family and friends for their loss, but am so happy for them to have had him for those 58 years of life.

I met Bob when we began our careers as fire protection engineers at the same time in 1979.   I easily recall his sharp mind, ready laugh, and how happy he was when he met Lisa.   He will be remembered for the example he set in facing life's challenges with unwavering courage and grace.  He was a true professional and, in many ways, a hero.
