He was a lifelong resident of Cobb County and was the former owner and operator of Carlile Florist for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah B. Carlile; children, Kenny and his wife, Lisa Carlile, Kyle and his wife, Robie Carlile, Kelley and her husband, Jamie Maddox; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 17 at 11 AM at Northstar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144, with Pastors, Mike Linch and James Bond officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 6pm - 8pm and Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 6pm - 8pm at the funeral home.
