Mr. Kenith Wayne Michael, 85, of Austell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Born on January 29, 1939, in Albertville, Alabama, Ken was the beloved son of the late Homer and Clarris Johnson Michael.
In June 1956, Ken proudly joined the U.S. Army Corps, serving his country with dedication for six years,
including time stationed in Korea. On October 2, 1959, Ken married the love of his life, Reba Joyce
(Smith) Michael, in Trenton, Georgia. Together, they built a beautiful life led with love, adventure, and family. They were blessed with three children: Martin Michael, Cecilia Kaye Michael Allison, and Keith Michael.
Ken’s life was denned by his deep faith, devotion to his family, and passion for music. A talented guitarist and singer, he shared his gift of music for many years, and was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. Ken served in various church ministries and also led a ministry called the Gospel Jubilee, bringing joy and inspiration to many.
Professionally, Ken was a lifelong Master Plumber with over 30 years in the industry. He owned and
operated Austell Sewer & Drain, retiring in 1996 after a successful career.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Keith Michael; son-in-law, Larry Allison; and five
siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife, Reba; his son, Martin Michael (Rita) of Powder Springs,
Georgia; his daughter, Kaye Allison of Austell, Georgia; Seven Siblings, five grandchildren; thirteen great-
grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
A visitation to honor Ken’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Winkenhofer
Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Kenith Wayne Michael will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family, and the beautiful music that touched so many lives. His legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
