Karlene Susan Anderson

Karlene S. (Otto) Anderson, 79 of Woodstock, GA, wife of John F. Anderson died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2023. Karlene was born in Danbury, CT on July 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Robert and Jeanne Otto. She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School in 1961. Thereafter, she went to Danbury School of Nursing and graduated with her R.N. It was at that time that she met the love of her life with whom she wed and was married to for 58-years and had two children.

Karlene was employed by Danbury Hospital for 34-years as a Delivery Room nurse and there after a nurse in the Women’s Clinic. She loved and was passionate about helping expectant Mothers have the best possible experience bringing life into this world.

Karlene and her husband relocated to GA after her retirement to be close to their grandchildren who were the sparkle of their eyes. Karlene enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, and socializing with her many circles of friends.

Karlene is survived by her loving husband John, her daughter Susan, son-in-law Jonathan Hill, son Eric, daughter-in-law Rebecca (Borner), two grandchildren, Emily and Evan and cat Beanie. She is pre-deceased by her sister Marilyn Jones. Karlene will be eternally missed and forever lovingly remembered.

Family and friends will be received at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, Kennesaw, GA on July 6 at 10:30. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 and reception thereafter.
