Jerry Earl Stone

Mr. Stone graduated from Southern Technical Institute with a degree in electrical engineering. He used his technology background throughout his secular career; however, his greatest passion was ministry. This passion led him to serve as a bi-vocational music minister in many Atlanta area churches over the years including Clear Springs Baptist; Kennesaw First Baptist; Milford Baptist; Johnson Ferry Baptist; Atkinson Road Baptist; Chattahoochee Baptist; and Alabama Road Baptist Church. Jerry also served at Thomasville Road Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. He faithfully served Christ along with his wife and ministry partner of fifty-seven years, Doris Spruell Stone. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Jimmy) Slick and Jerilyn (Rick) Winther; brother, Paris Stone; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration Service will be scheduled at a later date.
