Mr. Frederick Joseph Shaar, age 70, of Kennesaw, passed away July 13, 2013. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 20 years of service delivering the mail in Powder Springs. He loved to hunt, fish and cook and he was an avid SEC Football Fan. GO GATORS!!!
Mr. Shaar is survived by his wife, Kathy M. Shaar; children, Rusty Shaar, Patrick Welborn, and Ginny Buttram (Chad); grandchildren, Blake, Hannah, Dabney, Emily and Cole; sister, Kathy Whitman (Whit); nephew, Alex and niece, Kristen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 16 at 2 PM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with interment to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
