Fred Carson Burke

Mr. Fred Carson Burke, age 82, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. Mr. Burke was born on November 22, 1935 in Ellenboro, North Carolina, the son to the late Ralph Carson Burke and Elizabeth Brooks Burke.

Mr. Burke served our beloved country in the United States Air Force for thirty two years. His military service was spent as a SOAP/JOAP Lab Supervisor with 116th CAM Squadron; with majority spent at Dobbins Air Force Base. Fred married the love of his life, Mrs. Dotty Burke in 1980. One of Fred’s greatest talents was his ingenuity and industrial creativity. There wasn’t anything he could fix or create from scratch; he was very talented in welding, wood working, and restoration.

Along with his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs. Dolores ‘Dotty’ Grayson Burke.

He is survived by his three children, Ralph Burke, Michael Burke, wife Nancy, and Belinda Skinner; two step-children, Timothy Simmons, wife Cassandra, and Marti Dodson, husband Steve; eight grandchildren, Jacob Skinner, Kyle Skinner, Luna Burke, Danielle Duncan, Amanda Simmons, Robby Moon, Samantha Simmons, and Matthew Simmons; three great grandchildren, Hunter Skinner, Samuel Allgood, and Elliott Moon; and several extended family members also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. Fred Burke will be held in South Carolina at a later date.
