Dennis Reynolds Darnell

Dennis Reynolds Darnell, age 68, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Dennis was born August 14, 1954 to Gaylia Eberhart Darnell and Luke Reynolds Darnell. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Dennis had many talents and interests. He was a great musician, played the guitar, piano and bass guitar. He was an exceptional artist, he loved to sketch and draw, and dabbled in oil painting as well. He was quite a mechanic, and was able to break down a car engine and put it back together. He like fixing and inventing things. All the grandchildren would remember the clever "bug catcher" he created to capture an invading wasp or bee, and harmlessly take them outside. Dennis liked to spend time alone, doing things that interested him., He loved the older things in life, rather than the new. He enjoyed collecting old records, and particularly enjoyed Gospel, Blue Grass, Pop and Orchestra Music: the Goss Brothers, the Speer Family, Alison Krause, the Beatles to name a few. He loved reminiscing and retelling stories of adventures the family had in years gone by. Dennis will be loved and missed by all that knew him.

Dennis is survived by his father Luke Reynolds Darnell and his mother Gaylia Eberhart Darnell; sister Rita Darnell Carter, and husband James, brother Joe Darnell and his wife Tracie; nieces, Melinda (Mindy) Darnell, Katelyn Darnell Irons (Derick), Josie Carter and nephew Jesse Darnell.

A visitation for Dennis will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30 pm. Sunday. Burial will be at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 31052.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dennis' memory may be made to Casa Gloria, Mission Vida Nueva, 305 Lancelot Ln., Opelika, Alabama US
