David E. Judson, Sr., 76, of Norcross, GA died Saturday, November 21, 2014. Dave was a dedicated servant of the Lord, a loving and caring husband of 54 years and a committed father and grandparent. Dave was an active member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta. He was a passionate pet lover and dedicated friend to Shadow and Kingsly Judson.
Born in Dayton, OH, Dave served our country honorably in the US Air Force, was an ordained minister of the gospel and served several churches in Ohio & Missouri. He also had a career in sales and facility management. Dave retired from Office Depot in Norcross, GA after serving there for 15 years.
Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, who died one year earlier on November 21, 2013. He is also preceded in death by his parents, John Silas Sr. and Margaret Rose Judson (Mason), his siblings John Silas Judson Jr., Janet Ruth Wintermote, Nelson Albert Judson (Skip) and Marilyn Sue Alcorn. Surviving brother – Jerry Judson of Dayton, OH and sister – Joyce Howard of Dayton, OH.
Survivors include his daughter, sons, and grandchildren – Lisa French and husband Steve of Stafford, Va; his sons – David Judson, Jr. and wife Melinda of Hartford, CT, and Mark Judson and wife Lynn of Acworth, GA, and his grandchildren – Sara, Bruce, Ashley, and Amanda.
Dave will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his infectious laughter, his kind and warm heart, humble spirit, and his genuine love and acceptance of all people. Throughout Dave's life he touched many lives by living out his spiritual convictions and sharing God's message of love, redemption and the salvation of Jesus Christ for all.
The funeral is Wednesday, November 26, 8:30 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with burial to follow at the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors.
