Carrie Elizabeth Smith

Carrie is survived by her loving husband Brinson Smith of Acworth, GA; her children Cameron and Samantha Smith; her father David McLelland and Inda McLelland of Marietta; her brother Tim McLelland and Laura McLelland of Newport News, VA; grandmother Isabelle Rosenberg of Marietta; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Nancy and Larry Smith of Dallas, GA; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Amy and Jason Hinton of Dallas, GA; and nieces Kayleigh McLelland, Kara Ledbetter and Emerson Hinton.

Carrie was preceded in death by her mother Ernestine McLelland.

Carrie worked for the Cobb County Schools and taught Second Grade at Kennesaw Elementary, she earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia. Carrie and her husband, Brinson, loved fitness and Carrie enjoyed running and playing tennis in her spare time. Carrie loved teaching children but what fulfilled her the most was being a wife and mother.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw to celebrate Carrie’s life on Wednesday, March 29th at 6:00 PM. Visiting hours for family and friends will be between 4:00 and 6:00PM with the memorial beginning at 6PM. The Rev Lendell Ainsworth will be presiding.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the American Cancer Society.
