Bennie Andrew McMichen Jr., age 67, passed away peacefully in his home in the presence of his family on Friday 7/14. Bennie was born on June 20, 1956 to parents Bennie McMichen Sr. and Wilma (Sullins) McMichen. Being a Georgia native, he attended and graduated from North Cobb High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart Debbie (Holloway) McMichen. Bennie and Debbie went on to raise 3 beautiful children together, Ben, Lindsey and Lee. Bennie's pride and joy in life was his family and just being in their presence. He had a love and passion for hot rods, old cars, and motors. There wasn't much that this man could not do with a motor, a mad scientist if you will. He went on to build some amazing "toys" from the ground up. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was at a car show, camping, riding 4 wheelers, driving to the mountains for fresh air or just sitting in the creek bed watching his children play. He had so many interests and hobbies that he truly enjoyed. Bennie's greatest achievement in life was becoming a Paw-Paw. His love for his grandchildren was so pure and ran so deep. They truly made him incredibly happy and so proud. Bennie touched and impacted many lives throughout his journey here on earth, he never met a stranger. Those who knew him, loved him and to say he was loved is an understatement. There isn't enough space on paper to describe this incredible man.
