Andrew Martin

Andrew "Buddy" Martin, March 16, 1936 – January 2, 2025, Andrew Eugene Martin (Buddy), of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida (formerly of Stone Mountain GA), passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 88.

Andrew was born in Thomaston, GA. in March of 1936 to Emmett and Mary Martin. He is a veteran of the United States Army, and he served proudly for 6 years in the artillery division, split between active duty and active reserve. After the Army he had several management positions with local businesses in Thomaston before moving his family to Atlanta in 1969, where he started a career with Equifax. He spent his entire career there before retiring in 1995.

Preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Mary Martin, brother Frank Martin, sister Betty Thompson, and brother Emmett (Junior) Martin. He is survived by Kay, his loving wife of 66 years, son Andy Martin and wife April of Canton, GA, daughter Lisa Martin Robins and husband Mark of Daytona Beach Shores, FL, and son Jeff Martin of Daytona Beach Shores, FL. Also survived by: Brother Gary Martin and wife Debbie of Thomaston, GA and grandchildren, Melissa Martin Chesson, Drew Martin, Andrea Martin Kelly, Joshua Herndon, Lauren Herndon Reiff, Tristan Martin, Makayla Martin, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 between the hours of 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, the service will follow the visitation in our chapel. Andrew will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
