I worked with Steve onboard the USS STERETT.  We had great times together as friends and our families, as young as we were,  became great friends.  I always relied on Steve to fix equipment when times called for desperate measures.  Steve was Great with electronics, and he taught me quite a bit.

I was a Sterett shipmate and I send my condolences to the family of FC2 Simmons. He was a very intelligent shipmate who showed great integrity and honor, courage and bravery while serving aboard the USS Sterett cg31. May he rest in peace and may God bless his soul. Thank you for you service to our great country.

I first met Steve when I came to work in Implant in RFAB. I learned a lot from him and he had a great demeanor about life, work, his family and he was someone you'd look at or talk to and his energetic personality would make you feel better about your own day. He will truly be missed and my deepest condolences to the surviving family. My prayers are with you.

I worked with Steve for over 20 years.  It was a true pleasure to work with him and I will miss him dearly.  I don't remember seeing him have a bad day.  I wish I could have spent more time with him over the past year.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

I met Steve for the first time when I was ten years old and he was seventeen. He was the older brother of my best friend, Traci. He put up with a lot from the two of us and he gave it back when we deserved it...and we usually deserved it...but he was always kind and generous. He always had a smile and he always took care of us. I can see through the statements of the people who knew him in later years that he never changed. He was an amazing man. I will cherish every memory I have of him. Steve, you are missed and loved.

I can’t describe my mood well.
I know Stephen last year,when he came to Taichung to work.
I’m his assistant in the time ,I was really new guy
I also ask him a lot of questions .He always try to explain to me in easy way.
He was patience,even the question I already asked before.
We talk our family life. His son in law have same name as me. He wife helen will come to Taiwan ,his son will go to Alaska.
What is the life when he served in Navy.
We guys went to baseball game,fishing last year.
He said if I’m going to Texas.He will invite me to his house and BBQ for me.
He is really good at BBQ
Last month he work in  Tainan
I was so happy to see him,but we didn’t work together.
Just when I was about to invite him to have dinner .He go back to USA
I thought there is a lot of chance next time when he come to Taiwan.
I can’t describe how sad I feel when I heard this.
But you will always in my heart
I’ll remember those happy time we had.

I had the great honor to work for many years on countless issues with Steve. His work ethics and integrity were of the highest order.  Steve always seem to be upbeat and shared his enthusiasm for family, life, and profession. 
Speaking proudly of his Helen and kids. I felt, I knew the kids and their life’s happenings. 

I will carry Steve with me for all my days.

I remember the last time I talked to you in February, when I was shouting at my children, your voice was full of positive energy, and I was in a period of very low life; there are so many words I want to tell you.
It doesn't matter, We will be a friend in my next life. Thank you for giving me a good memory.

I’ve known Steve for about 20 years and can say that he is one of the nicest person anyone can ever meet.  He is genuine, courteous, and considerate and always has kind words about anyone.  The world needs more people like Steve.  I've had the pleasure of working with Steve on a few occasions and can a test to his great work ethics.  He was a hard worker and took his job responsibilities to heart.  He owned up to his actions and could be count on to get the job done right.  His passing is a great lost to everyone.  I will surely miss Steve.  

From the first time of  meeting Steve it was clear he was an absolute gentleman.
So many memories to look back on and smile about.
No matter where in the world we happened to be working, it was always made better when Steve was around.
I will miss you greatly my friend.
It was a pleasure to have met you and Helen and share the changes that life brought along the way, especially with the the additions of your grandkids, loved seeing the pictures.
Helen, no words can come close to understanding why this great man was taken so early.

My sincerest condolences to the Simmons family. Steve was a fine gentleman of the utmost integrity. He was a hardworking and diligent colleague; we could always count on Steve to do the right thing. I always enjoyed Steve’s company. He was a pleasure to be with and often had a kind word and a smile. We will miss his laugh and his Texas sense of humor. May you rest in peace my friend. 

Mr. Simmons was one of the best guests in Tainan Shangri-la Hotel. He is kind, loving and considered, and not to mention about his sense of humor.
We all love this gentleman and we are very sorry to hear the sad news.
We will always remember how Mr. Simmons made us laugh and treated us as family. We will miss him as usual and may the blessings be.

Hey Stephen, you are one of best man in the world. I remembered no matter where you were you always shared to me your family life, pictures of daughters, grandsons and Helen. I still couldn’t believe you are gone.

I truly feel like Steve is one of the very few people that I can honestly say I am a better person for knowing! I am a better person for being introduced to the family 15 years ago and considering y’all my extended family since. I’ve said a million times that Steve is quiet possibly the nicest, most selfless and caring person on the planet. He would do anything he possibly could to help someone. Even if it was an inconvenience for him, although he’d never let you know it. I will never forget the love and respect he had for Jack and Millie Boyd, and the love and respect they felt in return!! He was and always will be part of the Boyd family, as will y’all!  He will truly be missed and he will always be loved. To Helen, the kids and grandkids, I can only say I’m truly sorry and I love y’all so very much. Y’all are very dear to my heart and I will always be here for every one of y’all. 
Stay strong and know that his memory will stay alive through you guys and those beautiful babies! 

I loved you from the time you took your first breath. You have always been a wonderful caring loving brother and also a trusted friend. You grew into a man that people respected and loved. You were a loving husband, a teaching and caring father and the best grandfather to your grandchildren. I will miss you all the days of my life and will carry you in my heart forever. This is not the end my dear brother so wait for me. I will see you and Marty at the pearly gates when it’s my time to meet you there. I love you...
