Bill, 93, passed away peacefully in Salmon Arm hospital on May 15. Pre - deceased by his loving wife, Sybil McDonald, brother Rodney Pringle (Salt Spring Island); and Dorothy McMillan (Kamloops). Survived by his children Ed Pringle and spouse, Betty (Edmonton) and Donna Sookraj and spouse, Dixon (Kelowna). He is also survived by grandchildren, Julianna, Matthew, Amy and Lucas as well as many nephews and nieces and their families. Bill married his soul mate, Sybil in 1954. He graduated in 1952 with a Master of Science in Forestry from Idaho University. He excelled in his field of agriculture working in Kamloops, Beaverlodge and Prince George Research Stations as well as other countries such as Turkey, Pakistan and China. Bill was an active member of the Salmon Arm First United Church, Rotary Club, Lawn Bowling and Golf club. He loved visiting with friends and was well looked after by the Pringles from Salmon Arm and at Piccadilly Terrace residence. He enjoyed sailing and travelling which lead to adventures in Canada and many other countries. He shares his legacy in a book called “Bill’s Story, An Enviable Life” which he started writing in 2006.
A Service will be held at First United Church in Salmon Arm August 18, 2018 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Salmon Arm hospital which offered compassionate end of life care.
