In loving memory of Robert Ferguson passed away peacefully at the Central Okanagan Hospice on Friday, November 16th after a battle with cancer. Rob is survived by wife Carol and brothers Andrew and Gordon.
Rob was born in Montreal and grew up in West Vancouver, where he attended Hillside Secondary School. He was a talented athlete participating in soccer, rugby, and diving. Rob competed provincially in both springboard and tower diving. After settling in Kelowna with his wife, Rob enjoyed life in the Okanagan. Sunny beaches, long walks, home. and collecting memorabilia were interests that kept him active in the city.
Robs illness was sudden and ran it’s course aggressively. He was very fortunate to have the continued support of Community Health Services, Kelowna General Hospital, and Hospice House during his struggle. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all the professionals and volunteers who helped Rob and our family through this challenging time.
A memorial service and reception will be held starting at 1pm on Monday, November 26th at First Memorial Funeral Services at 1211 Sutherland Ave. Please join us in remembering Robert.
Donations in memory of Robert Ferguson can be made to Kelowna General Hospital.
