Robert Tremayne Farr

FARR: Robert Tremayne passed away on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 at the age of 85 years, Born June 4th, 1937. Tremayne is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Frances and son Robert and his wife Lindsey and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Maureen, brothers Caswell, Stan, Ken and Gerald.

He was born in Vancouver, attended Magee High School, and then graduated from UBC in Vancouver with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He went on to get a teachers certificate, transferred to Kelowna and taught at Kelowna Secondary School for 31 years.

Tremayne loved to be in the outdoors and did a lot of camping and canoeing despite his handicap resulting from Polio .Travelling the world with lots of adventures was upper most on his list of things to do, Anything from hitchhiking across the Sahara Desert, to climbing part of Machu Piccu in Peru were all wonderful events.

He always enjoyed good food, a glass of red wine and making some decent wines over the years. One of his favorite places to be in the summer was on the deck by the beach at Shuswap Lake.

Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation in Tremayne’s memory may donate to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.

There will be an informal Celebration of Tremayne’s Life on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM .Anyone interested in attending, please reach out to the family.
