Kenneth Roy Wedlund

June 7, 1940 – September 10, 2015

On September 10th Ken died peacefully at hospice house with his brothers and nephew at his side. Ken lived a full life on his own terms. With quick wit and an easy smile he acquired many friends he considered family through the years who also lent their support to him over the summer months in his time living with terminal cancer. He will be remembered by his children Kellie Villeneuve (Doug Thrussell), Darla (Todd) Rainville and Darrin Wedlund; his siblings Ray (Pat) Wedlund, Darryl (Gloria) Wedlund and Sharon Dilliard. As well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Ken was pre-deceased by his parents Tage and Agnes Wedlund and sister Joyce Reid.

We are grateful for the excellent care and compassion he received at the Central Okanagan Hospice House and for those who desire, donations in his memory can be made to this worthy organization. Ken will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna BC on Friday October 9th at 2:30 pm, friends and family are welcome to attend.
